Jar Candles For You

Jar candles are increasingly popular these days, and with good reason. Gone are the days of simple white candles in a plain jam jar used purely as a source of light. You can now get jar candles in all sorts of shaped jars, and of differing size too. The candle wax used is no longer just paraffin wax, but often soy wax, or gel and is available in any colour under the sun. With regards to fragrance, these jar candles come in a wide variety of scents and perfumes, so there really is something for every one.

Now when it comes to buying jar candles as a gift for someone, make sure you are not giving a perfumed candle to someone who has allergies to smells! Wow, just writing that caused me to sneeze! There are so many different aromas for candles that will evoke many memories for people. Maybe pumpkin pie scented candle will bring back memories of your mom in the kitchen baking. It is possible to buy jar candles from the many dollar stores there are around, but these stores do not often provide quality candles. You need to buy from a reputable company, otherwise you may find that your candle does not release its scent evenly through its burning, and the wax may not be of high quality. Paraffin wax is still used in some candles, but this burns and releases soot into the air which is not the best for our lungs, whereas soy jar candles have their wax made from soy beans, a renewable product, which has a much cleaner burn, and that is preferable to paraffin

Gel jar candles have been all the rage recently, and these come in some spectacular colors, and designs. Some have sea shells in them, or pine cones, and are very pleasing to the eye. They come in a variety of sizes and different shaped jars too, and means you can decorate a room easily with these themed jars. One of the big advantages of a jar candle is that as the candle burns, the wax remains inside the container, so you do not have to be concerned about having to get molten wax off the table or floor! However, as with all candles, you need to make sure that they are in a safe place when lit, and are not likely to tip over and start a fire in your home.

So, before you buy your next jar candles, decide whether you are looking for aromatherapy jar candles, or scented candles, or even perfume less jar candles which are desirable for those allergic to perfumes and scents. Then you can easily purchase the jar candles of your choice, and enjoy them!
